STANDING INSTRUCTIONS FOR FIELD TRIALS
All trials will be held under Kennel Club Rules and Regulations, copies of which can be obtained from The Kennel Club, 1-5 Clarges Street, London W1Y 8AB.
RUNNERS All stakes will be 12-dog stakes unless otherwise stated.

ENTRY FORMS Unless otherwise stated, should be sent to Suzi Burton, WCGB Field

Please send a separate cheque for each entry for each dog.
For dogs drawn but where one week’s notice of withdrawal is given and
another dog takes the place, entry fees will not be taken unless the dog qualifies
out of Novice or on production of a vet note. Email entries only accepted in
event of a postal strike, fees must be with the FTS before the trial.
The WCGB will only accept one dog per owner entry to each trial unless there
are insufficient dogs to fill the card. The first choice should be put first
on the entry form. In cases of joint ownership of more than one dog, each of
the owners may handle one of the jointly owned dogs but the entries must be
on separate forms.
The F-T Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry without giving a reason.
No dogs under the age of 12 months on the day of the trial may be entered.
DRAWS Will take place at the address of the Field Trial Secretary at 7pm on
the dates listed, unless stated otherwise. Entrants are welcome to attend.
In the event of excessive entries a ballot will be held.
PLEASE SEND AN SAE WITH ENTRY SO DRAW RESULTS CAN BE SENT ASAP.
If there is an email address on the entry, results of the draw will be emailed
asap.
Anyone phoning for results of the draw please phone before 9pm on the day of
the draw.
AWARDS For First, Second and Third place. TROPHIES As stated, not to be won outright.
DEFINITIONS
NOVICE - Confined to dogs which have not gained the following awards; First,
Second or Third in Open stakes, or First or Second in a All Aged Stakes or
First in Novice Stakes.
ALL AGED - Open to all dogs of a specified breed or breeds without restriction
to their age, but which may be restricted by any other conditions, which may
be determined by the society, as in reg J3.d(2), subject to the approval of
the General Committee of the KC. In the event of a ballot,
preference in the draw will be to dogs with field trial awards in the following
order: (a) Members with Weimaraners (b) Members with other breeds (c) Others
OPEN - Preference in the draw will be given to Members’ dogs that have
(a) gained a 1st, 2nd,or 3rd in an Open stake or a 1st or 2nd in an All Aged,
or a 1st in a Novice stake. (b) Non-members’ dogs which have gained the
above awards. (c) Members’ dogs which have gained other awards (d) Non-members’ dogs
which have gained other awards (e) other dogs. (K.C. Regulation J7.i. (4))
DISCIPLINE All persons attending any trial do so at their own risk, and must consider themselves under the control of the judges and officials at all times. Everybody should remain close to the official carrying the red flag to minimise the risk of accidents, and noise should be kept to a minimum. All Dogs must be kept on a lead except when in line. Competitors may exercise their dogs prior to the trial by permission of the Chief Steward, but only when and where indicated by him/her. Anyone disobeying these instructions will be asked to vacate the ground and fees forfeited. Any bitch found to be in season must be removed from the ground immediately.
START TIMES Unless otherwise notified start times are 8.45am for 9am. Competitors should report to the chief steward not later than 15 minutes prior to the published starting times. For the purpose of reserve substitution, the trial will be deemed to have commenced when the Chief Steward calls competitors and judges together.
FIELD TRIAL COMMITTEE FOR THE DAY Will be appointed from the FT Committee and/or those present familiar with Field Trial Rules and procedures.
CHANGES TO THE SCHEDULE Should circumstances so dictate the WCGB, in consultation with the judges, may alter arrangements as necessary. Such changes and the circumstances surrounding them will be reported to the KC at the earliest opportunity. No modification will be made to this schedule except by permission of the Kennel Club, followed by an advertisement in appropriate journals if time permits before the closing of entries.
LIABILITY Neither the WCGB nor the hosts of any meeting will accept liability for any accident, damage, illness or injury to dogs, owners, handlers spectators or any other person or property whatsoever. The making of an entry constitutes acceptance of KC Regulations for Field Trials and the foregoing WCGB standing instructions.
